Email Integration
The Email Integration page allows you to set up the SMTP server access required for MiaRec email alerts. These settings are also used for reseting user's password by email.
To configure email integration:

Navigate to Administration > System > Email Integration and click Edit Configuration.

Set up the following settings:

Enable - select this check box to enable the SMTP server access.
- SMTP host - specify the IP address or host name for the SMTP server.
- SMTP port - specify the port configured for the SMTP server.
- Encryption Method - if the SMTP server you are configuring is a secured server, select the encryption protocol.
- Authentication - specify whether this SMTP server requires authentication. In most cases, this option should be selected.
- SMTP User - enter the user name required for SMTP authentication.
- SMTP Password - enter the password required for SMTP authentication.
- Sender's Name - specify the name to use in the From field for all administrative email notifications.

Sender's Email - specify the email address to use in the From field for all administrative email notifications.

Click Save.
Restrictions
Under the Restrictions section, you can set up the limits that are set on the number of messages and connections that can be processed by an email server.
- Max send rate - defines the maximum connection rate per minute.
- Max send rate per user - defines the maximum number of messages per hour that can be sent by a single user.
- Max size of attachments - defines the maximim size of an attachment that can be uploaded to an email.
- Attachments - select this check box to allow users to attach recording and metadata files to an email.
Email templates
The Email Integration page includes the number of email templates available for email notifications automatically triggered by system events.
When you select an email template, the pane at the bottom of the page shows the parameters that are currently configured for the template. Each parameter is a variable that holds data related to the system event and places it in the right location in the email. All parameters must be preceded by a '$' dollar sign.
Reset passwords by email
The ability of resetting passwords by email is controlled by Password Policies on system as well as tenant levels (menu Administration > User Authentication > Password Policy, or on tenant profile).
