Overview

MiaRec software provides a role-based access control feature with granular permissions. Each user account is associated with one role. And each role is configured with a set of permissions.

Roles

When you set permissions, you specify three levels of access for tenants, groups and users:

  • Access Scopes. These are set of permissions that can be applied in one go.
  • Permissions. These are the very permissions that can be configured within a certain access scope.
  • IP address restrictions. These are the restrictions based on IP network/address. For details, see Access Restrictions

Permissions

By default, the following roles are pre-created in the MiaRec system, but the administrator may create new roles or modify existing ones:

Root Administrator

Users of this role have unlimited access to the system.

Administrator

Users of this role have a set of permissions as configured by Root Administrator. By default users of Administrator type can create/edit other user accounts.

Supervisor

A supervisor has access to call recordings, which are associated with users in his/her managed group(s). They cannot create/edit other user accounts.

Agent

Agents have access to their call recordings only.
